Winnipeg Free Press – Intern city reporter
For my final Creative Communications work placement I’m covering the city beat for the Winnipeg Free Press. Not only do I pitch and write print stories, but also briefs for the web. In the upcoming weeks I will cover the breaking news shift and work from the Free Press News Cafe.

For the first issue of  the Sunday Extra, I was assigned to particpate in the Soldier for a Day event on Saturday and had a two hour window to write the story for deadline. The Path is a personal story I did for the Our Winnipeg section of the Sunday On7. The following week, I wrote an opinion piece about the use of Colonel Russell Williams photographs on the cover of the Free Press.
